༻────━─━────━─━  ⋆⋅About the Game⋅⋆ ────━─━━─━────༺

Spread sunlight to uplift sad goblins and thwart slimes with your sunbeam.
Upgrade your abilities to halt the spread of sadness and infuse joy into the goblin community in this enchanting adventure.

༻────━─━━────━─━  ⋆⋅How to Play⋅⋆ ────━─━━━─━────༺

Keep the goblins happy! Rain Slimes will try to spread sadness to  all the happy goblins.

Once a goblin has become fully sad, you will not be able to uplift them again with your aura. Strategise, and use upgrades wisely to keep as many goblins happy as possible!

Direct your powerful Sun Beam directly on Rain Slimes to eliminate them and cut down their numbers!

༻────━─━━━──━━  ⋆⋅Behind the Scenes⋅⋆ ━─━━━━─━────༺

This game was created in a week as part of Pirate Software game jam! The theme was "Spreading".
We interpreted it as the physical act of spreading emotions, such as spreading kindness.

Following the game jam submission rules. We made a game design document (GDD). The most up-to-date GDD can be read here or downloaded down below.

Fun game! It looks super nice! The game is very forgiving, as you can let most of your friends day without penalty. It's pretty satisfying to have high damage and just melt a wave in seconds :D

This is very well made! The only issues I have with it are the slime collisions, they get stuck in things sometimes making it so hard to laser them, and holding the mouse button causes strain after a while, maybe a toggle? As far as design, these are ideas for after the jam of course: I don't think the goblins should 'die' when their meter are empty, the slimes should split, and the slimes should be able to push you more, I camped in between two goblins and I'm able to beat any level that way, maybe have an increasing percentage of goblins needed to be 'alive' to finish the level, if you do keep the 'goblins die' thing? Overall very great game, good work! Visuals are excellent

Thanks for the feedback :)

There's defninitely work to be done improving the spawning and collisions to make sure things don't get stuck in each other, and adjustments to how the sun beam laser damages slimes - to damage enemies in it's path, not just what is the cursor is pointing at.
Also, a toggle option to the sun beam laser is a great idea :D

so how you could balance the challenge, is have the goblins move, and make it so you can't laser and move at the same time possibly?

cute little game. had some trouble targeting slimes,  but plays very smoothly. Well done <3

Adorable game. I will keep these goblins happy forever. The slimes will not prevail.
